The Need
A disaster does not end when the water goes down
In one night, a flood or storm can take a family's home, their food, their income, and the schoolbooks on the shelf. For households already living close to the edge, there is no savings to fall back on. Recovery can take months, and the world's attention moves on within days.
Our partners in India live in the communities that get hit, so help does not have to travel far to arrive. They know which families lost the most and which roads are still open. That is why relief can often begin within days.
We help in two ways: with resources, and with hands. Gifts from supporters pay for supplies and repairs right away. People on the ground cook, carry, clear, and pray alongside the families they serve.
